Partial-Birth Abortion bill stalled In Michigan
If you want to see Michigan law finally and permanently ban partial birth abortion, this is the time for action! Call or email Pro-Life State Representatives and Pro-Life House Speaker Andy Dillon (to show our urgency in bringing this for a vote) in Lansing. Ask them to request action on the PBA ban. The Pro-Abortion Representatives will not allow this to even be brought up for a vote!
This comes several days after body parts of aborted babies and the "confidential" records were discovered in a dumpster at a Michigan abortuary. We simply must act. The enforcement of the Federal PBA Abortion depends on federal prosecuting attorneys who are busy with issues such as drug trafficking etc. If a Pro-Abortion president is elected, do you really think the federal law will be enforced? Not likely.
Please make the phone calls today. By the way, Senator Mark Schauer continues to vote for partial birth abortion.
Your help makes my job easier. Thank you!
Time to "Turn Up the Heat" on Partial Birth Abortion.
Lobbying House Members Can Start Immediately
In previous Capitol Notes we indicated that a little "behind the scenes" work needed to be done to prepare the Michigan House for action on S.B. 776, the Partial Birth Abortion Ban. With the help of both Democrat and Republican Pro-Life House members, all the groundwork that can be done, has been done. Now it's time to do what we do best - grassroots lobbying.
Beginning immediately RLM affiliates and prolife supporters are asked to generate as many calls and emails as possible with two messages for state representatives in Lansing:
1) Vote YES on S.B. 776.
2) Please approach House Speaker Dillon to request S.B. 776 be taken up now.
Prolife Speaker Andy Dillon has committed to moving the bill and is working to quell the resistance from the Pro-Abortion members in the House. Now he needs to be able to point to the pressure and support for the bill coming from his fellow Pro-Life members and their prolife constituents. It is our job to deliver this pressure! Ask your Representative to "talk to the Speaker."

By the way,
Register today for RLM's Annual Legislative Day, Wednesday, April 23rd, in Lansing. This will be a critical event discussing the above legislation, plus the Stem Cell ballot proposal which is now in the signature gathering phase. We have a another proposal to fight and win this November! Financial assistance for this important Legislative Day is available through Jackson Right to Life. http://www.jacksonforlife.org/
